Glendale, AZ - Hunt Construction Group was recently awarded the Special Jury Award for the newly completed University of Phoenix Stadium by Southwest Contractor. As part of Engineering News-Record, Southwest Contractor is a McGraw Hill publication focusing on the southwest region of the United States.

Each year, the publication selects projects they feel exceed expectations by excelling in multiple areas of construction. Winning projects are chosen on the following criteria: quality of design construction, innovation, contribution to the industry, ability to overcome challenges and overall excellence. Hunt's innovative design elements, high community involvement and dedication to the Arizona Sports & Tourism Authority in keeping the project on time and on budget, helped insure a spot amongst this year's best.

Each winning project will be featured in the December 2006 issue of Southwest Contractor, and will also be honored at an awards ceremony in each state.
