Hunt Construction Group Appoints New Florida Operations Manager
TAMPA, FLORIDA -
Hunt Construction Group construction management and general contracting firm announces the appointment of William G. Morthland as Vice President & Florida Operations Manager. Mr. Morthland will reside in Hunt's Tampa office and his primary responsibilities shall include profit/loss, client satisfaction, ensuring that all projects controlled by the Tampa office are properly staffed and managed through the executive personnel reporting directly to him, as well as cultivate business and further advance the company's Florida market presence.
Mr. Morthland is a native Floridian. He graduated from Auburn University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Bill joins Hunt with 25 years of Florida market experience where he has uniquely prospered as a licensed architect, owner and predominantly, a builder. The past ten years, Mr. Morthland has served in an executive level capacity with Sverdrup, Welbro/Baker Mellon Stuart and Turner Construction Company.
Mr. Morthland's Florida project experience in part includes: Jacksonville Arena; Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Expansion; University of Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute; the Cypress Housing and Magnolia Housing facilities for the University of South Florida; Veterans Administration Clinic Brevard in Viera; Palm Beach County Main Jail; CityWalk at Universal Studios; Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa; University of Central Florida Engineering Building II; University of North Florida Library; Florida A&M University Law School; and an array of school work for Hillsborough, Orange, Pasco and Volusia counties to mention a few.
Bill and his wife have been married for 20 years and they have two sons 15 and 18 years old. His personal interests include golf, travel, woodworking, automobiles and military history.
