Tampa Bay Buccaneers Corporate Headquarters and Training Facility

TAMPA, FLORIDA - Hunt Construction Group, the nation's best in sports construction, in a Joint Venture with Sierra Commercial Construction announced today that it has been awarded the $35 million Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Facility and Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

North Carolina based Wagner Murray Architects aided in the design of the impressive design/build facility, which will be comprised of a two-story 116,960 square-foot office building, a 19,360 square-foot training building and a 9,914 square-foot maintenance building.

The office portion will contain team operations offices and physical training space as well as media relations, ticket sales, coaching offices, team meeting space and video production studios. The weight training facility and mechanical equipment will be housed in the training building. Finally, the maintenance building will serve the two illuminated, natural turf practice fields.

Hunt's Southeast Region office located in Tampa will be handling the design/build services on this new exciting facility for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Similar projects completed by Hunt Construction Group include Bright House Networks Field, spring training home of Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies and the Indianapolis Colts' Union Federal Football Training Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hunt's Tampa office has completed or is currently building in the Florida marketplace include Raymond James Stadium (home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers); St. Pete Times Forum (home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning); Alltel Stadium (home of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars); Pro Player Stadium (home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins and MLB's Florida Marlins); Office Depot Center (home of the NHL's Florida Panthers); Armed Forces Reserve Center in Pinellas Park; Grande Lakes Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, and Orange County Convention Center all in Orlando.

The Buccaneers new training facility is expected to break ground in July be completed in August of 2006.
