TAMPA, FLORIDA - Hunt Construction Group, the nation's premier builder of hospitality facilities, has been awarded The Umstead project in Cary, North Carolina by Four Star Ventures. Hunt's Southeastern Regional Office, located in Tampa, Florida, will provide Construction Management services on this stunning 217,000 square foot luxury hotel.

When completed in early 2006, this six-story luxury hotel will feature 150 lavish guestrooms and suites, a 12,500 square foot full-service spa, 8,500 square feet of meeting space, an upscale three-meal restaurant, outdoor gardens, outdoor dining venue as well as outdoor function and event venues.

"With the selection of Hunt Construction Group we are set to begin construction in earnest and move ahead full-speed to bring this landmark hotel to completion."

The Hunt team selected to deliver The Umstead has recently completed the Grande Lakes Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. This substantial project consisted of a 600,820 square foot, 587-room Ritz-Carlton Hotel on 15 floors, a JW Marriott totaling 787,579 SF, 1,000 rooms on 27 floors, a 40,000 square foot ultimate spa facility, 456,261 square feet of convention space, an 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course, a clubhouse, maintenance facilities, and surface parking.

Other Hunt hospitality projects include the Conrad Hotel & Residential Tower, a five-star hotel currently being built in Indianapolis, Indiana; the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Florida; the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona; the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona; Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois; Louisville Marriott Downtown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky; Marriott Convention Center Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana; Sheraton Wildhorse Pass Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona; and Ritz-Carlton Hotel Marina del Rey, California.
