Breaking Ground on Reser Stadium at Oregon State University
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - Hunt Construction Group and partner Wildish Building Co. (Hunt-Wildish) will break ground on Saturday, May 1, 2004, on the expansion of Reser Stadium at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Hunt-Wildish was awarded this $55 million construction management/general contracting project in May 2003. Since then, Hunt-Wildish has been working closely with the University and the architect, HNTB, providing preconstruction phase services.
The expansion of Reser Stadium will be completed in August 2005. The scope of work for the Hunt-Wildish team includes expansion of the east side of the stadium that will include demolition and reconstruction of existing stands, as well as a new, covered second level of seats and suites. The expansion will result in a capacity of 43,000 seats, totaling 300,000 gross square feet. The stadium will feature 20 suites, a 30,000 square foot Club level, a Founder's Club level, a new main concourse and associated facilities.
Hunt-Wildish was recently awarded the new $12 million Oregon State University Parking Garage. Prior to Reser Stadium, Hunt-Wildish partnered on the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium project, which was a 14,000-seat expansion, new press and sky boxes, restrooms, concessions, infrastructure, and the upgrade of the video production area.
