PHOENIX, ARIZONA - Hunt Construction Group's Western Regional Office has been awarded the $15.5 million contract to provide design-build services for the America West Arena Facility Enhancements Project. Hunt Construction Group was awarded this additional work on February 10, 2004.

The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, upper concourse improvements, technology additions, core building improvements, Platinum Club expansion to "B" level, loge suite expansion, and reconfiguration of exterior lighting.

Hunt Construction Group built America West Arena in 1992, and completed in October of 2002 an approximately $12 million renovation of the interior concourses and arena club for the City of Phoenix. Currently, Hunt Construction Group is completing the $29 million construction of the curtain wall façade and a 60,000 SF addition to three sides of the existing arena. This work includes tenant fit-out of the added square footage. The new space will include entertainment venues, retail, restaurants, and new concourses.

Another sports venue project Hunt Construction Group is currently constructing in the Phoenix area is the new University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. This project is scheduled for completion in 2006.
