Awarded New Corpus Christi AA Ballpark
DALLAS, TEXAS - Hunt Construction Group and local partner Fulton*Coastcon were awarded the new $18 million Corpus Christi AA Ballpark on January 13, 2004.
The new ballpark will consist of a three-level AA stadium of approximately 128,300 square feet with 19 suites. The ballpark will have the capacity to accommodate approximately 6,000 attendees. In addition, 300 on-site parking spaces will be built for the AA team and for VIP use. The new ballpark is partially funded by Hall of Fame pitcher, Nolan Ryan, who will own the AA team that will play in this new facility.
Hunt Construction Group completed in August 2003 the AA Dr Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. This was a 9,000-seat facility that included a StarCenter ice skating facility with 2 sheets of ice, and 3,500 seats, along with a 1,300-car parking structure.
Construction of the New Corpus Christi AA Ballpark is scheduled to begin in March 2004 with completion in March 2005.
