NEW WASHINGTON NATIONALS BALLPARK HOSTS TOPPING OUT CELEBRATION

Washington, D.C. -- Clark/Hunt/Smoot, A Joint Venture, and the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission are hosting a "Topping Out" Celebration for the New Washington Nationals Ballpark on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. This event will celebrate a significant milestone in the construction of the new ballpark as the last piece of structural steel is lowered into place.

The celebration is set to begin at noon with congratulatory remarks by DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and other special guests.

Once completed in April 2008, the new 1.2 million-square-foot, open air ballpark will seat 41,000 fans and contain 90 luxury suites. Additionally, the project is on track to receive LEED Certification by the US Green Building Council.

The new ballpark will be the future home of the MLB's Washington Nationals.
