Hunt Projects Receive “Best of” Awards

The McGraw-Hill regional awards program recently bestowed several awards on Hunt including: Outstanding Engineering Function & Aesthetics - Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal Building, Indianapolis, Outstanding Project Management (Large) - LAC + USC Medical Replacement Facility, Los Angeles, Healthcare Winner - LAC + USC Medical Replacement Facility, Higher Education/Research Winner - University of California, San Francisco Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building.

The independent juries, which met in mid-September, awarded points to construction submissions based on criteria including project management, overcoming challenges of the job, overall excellence in architectural or engineering design, innovation, safety and the contribution to the community and/or the construction.

All projects receiving the regional honors were automatically entered into McGraw-Hill’s national “Best of the Best”.  Hunt along with joint venture partners Clark Construction and McCarthy Building Companies were recently honored with the national award for Healthcare - LAC+USC Medical Replacement Facility and Hunt received top honors for  Engineering Design - Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal Building at Indianapolis International Airport. These honors will be profiled in the January 4, 2010 issue of Engineering News-Record.
