Hunt began construction in 2005 on this 330,000-square-foot, seven-story, state-of-the-art research facility designed to promote interdisciplinary research. It houses medical research space for pharmacology, genetics, pharmacy, biochemistry and biophysics, including lab support, offices and office support. The facility also houses vivarium space to be used by the entire UNC School of Medicine. Hunt is recognized as the leader in innovation, quality and technology for research and development campus construction projects. Hunt’s extensive experience in research and development construction spans nearly four decades and over 25 million square feet of space. Additional research and development projects Hunt is currently building include the new Helen Diller Cancer Research Facility for the University of California, San Francisco and the California State University Long Beach, Peterson Hall Replacement Building. |













A dedication and reception was recently held by the University of North Carolina to celebrate the opening of the newest addition to the Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine – the Genetic Medicine Research Building.
